Y Festri has a large living room which looks out over the Moelwyn mountains. There is a stone fireplace with a living flame gas fire for those chilly evenings and a piano for the more musical visitors. There is also a television with four terrestrial channels and several Sky satellite channels. Cottage style sofa and chairs ensure a comfortable evening chatting, playing games or just watching TV. A selection of books has been left for adults or children who like nothing better than whiling the hours away with a good book. From the living room you go through a large curtained archway into the spacious kitchen-dining-room with its pine-beamed ceiling. The kitchen is separated from the dining area by an attractive stone and wood bar. The dining area has a large rectory-style wooden table which seats up to 10. It looks out over the flowerbeds and shrubs at the rear of the property. Kitchen equipment includes: a mains gas hob, a microwave, a double electric oven with a grill, a dishwasher and a large fridge.
Next to the kitchen is the laundry room which is excellent for drying clothes. Laundry room equipment includes: an automatic washing machine, a second fridge, a good-sized freezer and a large ceiling-mounted clothes-drying rack. The hallway has a wood panelled staircase made from the wood of the old chapel and there is also a downstairs toilet and washbasin.
Upstairs there are four good-sized bedrooms, two with views out over the mountains. All the rooms have beautiful pitch-pine-panelled ceilings, each one in a slightly different design. In the back two bedrooms the panelling extends part-way down the walls. Y Festri can accommodate up to ten people and a baby. Sleeping accommodation:
The bathroom in Y Festri is enormous and the whole family can congregate there! There is a bath, separate shower, toilet, washbasin and bidet. The bathroom also has a beautiful pitch-pine panelled ceiling and coving. A raised area near a radiator provides a comfortable spot to change a baby or to supervise bath-time. |
